Learn and explore within a friendly, supportive small group setting.

We invite you to join us for an uplifting educational retreat in the breathtaking setting of Bali, a land renowned for its lush natural beauty, vibrant cultural heritage, and deep spiritual traditions. Amidst serene rice terraces, sacred temples, and warm breezes, you’ll have the opportunity to deepen your clinical expertise through our program, Mindfulness Skills in Clinical Practice with Larry Cammarata, Ph.D. This immersive experience offers 18 CE/CME credits for qualified health professionals and provides a unique opportunity to integrate evidence-based mindfulness practices into your clinical work while renewing your own sense of presence, balance, and well-being. This will be our 9th time on this precious island, and we’re happy to share this beautiful experience with you.

We will stay at the Sun of Granary, a tranquil resort and spa nestled near the heart of Ubud, Bali. Surrounded by lush rice fields and tropical gardens, this serene haven offers elegant accommodations, a peaceful spa sanctuary, and the gentle rhythms of nature all around. Here, you’ll find the perfect setting to unwind, reflect, and reconnect—with yourself and with the beauty of Bali. Whether enjoying a gentle yoga session with Linda, savoring locally inspired cuisine, or simply soaking in the quiet magic of the landscape, the Sun of Granary offers a deeply restorative experience for body, mind, and spirit.

Beauty and harmony characterize Bali, and the local people are some of the most gentle and gracious individuals we have ever encountered in our travels. Art, ritual, performance, kindness, and devotion are deeply integrated into the culture.

Mindfulness Skills in Clinical Practice with Dr. Larry Cammarata

This educational program provides a comprehensive foundation for the application of mindfulness in clinical practice. Research has shown that mindfulness-based interventions have been successfully applied to diverse clinical populations of individuals suffering from mood disorders, addictions, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, eating disorders, trauma and stress-related disorders, chronic pain, and insomnia. Mindfulness training has been shown to benefit the clinician by increasing attention, empathy, self-compassion, and affect tolerance. Select topics include: defining mindfulness; understanding the philosophical and ethical foundations of the practice; becoming a mindfulness-based clinician; mindfulness-based and acceptance-based interventions; understanding and applying mindfulness through the orientation of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); the science and practice of mindful movement; how psychological knowledge and social ethics can enhance mindfulness-based treatment; self-compassion; addiction; wellbeing; and how mindfulness can increase psychological flexibility. We will also explore how mindfulness and ACT-based interventions can be applied to relationship problems. The application of mindfulness, mindful movement, and body-centered interventions in the treatment of various clinical populations will also be covered.
