Teaching at Urban Dharma in Asheville, North Carolina (2017)
MT Sangha
Dr. Larry Cammarata is currently providing free online group mindfulness meditation sessions to our Mindfulness Travels community and others who are interested in the practice. The group is regarded—in traditional terms—as a “sangha”, which is a community of practitioners who support each other on the path of living a mindful life with kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity. The sangha is practice-based and not bound to any ideology. This weekly gathering consists of guided meditation, discussion, and compassion-based practices, and often integrates storytelling and poetry into the process. We meet on Fridays from 11:00 am to 12:00 Noon Eastern Time. If you're not subscribed to our newsletter, please use the form at the bottom of this page to sign up and receive notifications about our meditation sessions and continuing education retreats.

"Thank you once again for your generosity in offering us your wonderful teachings for free. It is so enjoyable and grounding to be in contact with you and the group in (at least) this virtual way. Last week’s mindfulness session was outstanding. With all what I heard, practiced and read over the years about mindfulness meditation - and here I am including the celebrities of mindfulness teachers in this and other countries- I can’t remember ever having heard such a clear and inspiring talk about meditation.” B., Artist, Asheville, NC
”I find that so much of what you describe in this process of Becoming hinges on me remembering to pause! I have done so much of this inner work over the many years, but the old automatic defenses and stories / the shadows keep hovering, unless I take a breath, watch with curiosity, and make conscious choices to let go and be open...to my Self and to others. Our Friday sangha has helped me to be more mindful throughout my days, and I am grateful to you both and our time together as a community for supporting compassion and peace within and between."
