This is a free event featuring gentle classes of Tai Chi and Qigong, as well as performances of Tai Chi. Anyone may participate, regardless of experience level. Beginners are welcome!

Following the event, a no-host lunch at a local restaurant will be held. Please send an email if you plan to attend the lunch.

Location: Campos do Arnado (pictured below), Caminho da Oliveirinha, Arcozelo 4990-146 Ponte de Lima. 

As pictured below, the Campos do Arnado location is close to the little Capela do Anjo da Guarda (Guardian Angel Chapel) that is behind the Igreja de Santo António da Torre Velha (Church of Saint Anthony of the Old Tower). After crossing the Medieval bridge from the old town of Ponte de Lima, turn right before the church and you will enter this location, which is near Margem Café.

ALTERNATE LOCATION (if it rains): If it is raining, the event will be held at the Academia de Dança ALMA (Alma Academy of Dance) in Ponte de Lima. When you turn into the location (near the BIG GOLF BALL at the Campo de Golf Axis), you will enter the parking lot of a big black building. Park in front of the building. As you face the building, walk around to the left on the green astroturf to go behind the building to access the movement space.

World Tai Chi & Qigong Day brings millions of people together worldwide to celebrate health and wellness through the mind-body practices of Tai Chi & Qigong.

Meet the Event Organizer 

Larry Cammarata, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist in addition to being an instructor of Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong who has received training in China and in the US. He is the Director of Education of Mindfulness Travels, an educational organization that provides training in mindfulness and mindful movement throughout the world. Larry was designated as an "Author-Expert" by IDEA for his writing, teaching, and service in the field of mind-body health, fitness, and wellness. His mindful movement work was presented at the 11th Annual International Scientific Conference of the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine. Larry is a member of the Certification Committee of Tai Chi Healthways, an organization founded and directed by world renowned Tai Chi Master and Qigong expert Dr. Jesse Tsao
